Irfanview is a useful utility which can be used as a image viewer/editor. It comes with number of optional plugins to do various useful functionality. Irfanview is very  easy to use. With little work with the ‘Help’ menu the work is made even more simpler.

I wish to emphasize one useful feature named ‘Save for web’ under the ‘File’ menu. This feature can be achieved by installing a plugin named ‘RIOT’. This plugin compress the high resolution image into an optimized image of user defined file size(in KiB). The compression process doesn’t  affect the originality of the image. All this can be done with few clicks.

All you need is to download/install IrfanView and plugins required. No expertize is required to carry out this process.
