Rapidshare has banned all the IP’s of BSNL, India. When a user tries to load the rapidshare page, an error is being displayed saying “Massive RapidShare hack attempts detected. IP block 59.90.0.0 – 59.99.255.255 blocked. Please call your internet provider.”

There is no idea as to when Rapidshare will unban the IP’s. To overcome this issue temporarily you can use some proxy sites to hide your banned IP. There could be tons of reasons why you might want to use proxy but here are some valid reasons :

1. If you don’t want the website collecting your IP address / location for example like Google records details of your search including what you search and your IP address.
2. If the website had limits imposed based on IP address for example file downloading sites Rapidshare have bandwidth limits on IP address.
3. If you want to use multiple accounts at the same time if the website is IP based login. Most sophisticated websites are IP based login that means even if you change the browser your login id remains the same.
4. If your IP address is a victim of mass IP ban, many websites ban IP address in block or range.

In this case, you are forced to use a proxy site to solve the problem. Here are some proxy sites which i prefer are :

Through this proxy sites downloading from rapidshare is possible even from banned IP.
